I'm Xochitl (Sochi) - a UX Researcher & Designer - based in Los Angeles, CA with an academic background in Anthropology. I help brands turn their ideas into high quality products.
Understand First. I take a mixed-method approach using qualitative, quantitative and UX research methods to understand people and products.
Position the Brand. Once I am able to empathize and discover complex UX problems, I move on to designing, testing and implementing the product.
Communicate to all. I believe in creating spaces for people to openly and respectfully discuss their ideas to collaborate and accomplish a shared goal.
Bringing work to life. I use tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD and others to design deliverable products.
Having worked in the field of Education, I decided to pursue my interest in UX Design. I gravitated towards this field because of my background in research and desire to explore emerging technologies that influence human thought and behavior.
I am fascinated to understand the whys, hows, and what-ifs of what makes people think and feel to design meaningful, human-centered experiences that influence positively and bring value to the world.
Currently, I am working as a UX Design Apprentice at Amazon. If you would like to connect, feel free to reach out and say hi: firstname.lastname@example.org
